RoadPro® has been a trusted name in automotive and trucking accessories for over 50 years. Since 1968, we’ve designed products to make life on the road safer, easier, and more comfortable for generations of travelers and professional truck drivers.
Keeping Truckers Cozy Through All Kinds of Weather

Our founder, Al Hansen, started out selling CB radios and antennas at truck stops across the Midwest. He saw firsthand the challenges truck drivers faced spending long hours on the road, away from the comforts of home. Al realized there was a need for products to help make life on the road more bearable, especially during cold winter months.
In the 1970s, RoadPro® began manufacturing some of the first 12 volt heaters and cooktop ranges designed specifically for semi trucks. These products allowed truckers to warm up their cabs and prepare hot meals, making their lives on the road a bit cozier.
Over the years, we continued improving and expanding our line of 12 volt heaters and stoves to offer truckers more comfort solutions. From small fan forced heaters that mount under the dash to surprisingly powerful cooktop ranges that can boil water in minutes, our 12 volt heating and cooking products have become essential gear for truckers across North America.
Keeping Truck Cabs Cozy in Every Season
While our stoves and heaters were designed with winter in mind, we know trucker comfort is important year-round. That’s why we designed a range of 12 volt fans and air conditioners specifically sized for semi truck cabs.
Our durable ventilation fans come in 7 to 14 inch sizes and can mount to the roof or side windows to circulate fresh air. For really hot summer days, our compact 12 volt air conditioners will keep any size sleeper cab cool and comfortable when shore power is available. We even make handy power inverters that allow truckers to run AC units off their truck’s batteries when shore power is not available.
For ultimate climate control, our digital thermostat controller allows precision control over connected heating and cooling accessories. Truckers can set their desired temperature and the controller will automatically switch between a connected heater, air conditioner, or fan to maintain the perfect climate.
Bringing More Tastes of Home to Truckers
As Al saw decades ago, enjoying a warm, home cooked meal is one of the simple comforts truckers miss most while on the road. That’s why we design our stoves and cooktops to replicate the cooking experience as much as possible within the confines of a compact truck cab.
Many of our ranges offer dual electric and propane burners, just like the stove back home. We use durable cast iron burner tops that heat evenly, along with adjustable knobs for precision temperature control. Our RV-style ranges allow truckers to cook most dishes they’d make in their kitchen at home.
For quick roadside meals, our 12 volt kettles and coffee makers allow truckers to brew up hot beverages fast. Our handy slow cookers, microwaves, and refrigerators also allow for more home-style cooking. With the right gear, truckers can enjoy their favorite comfort foods while on the road.
Safely Transporting Fresh and Frozen Foods

To expand their culinary options, many truckers transport perishable items in their cabs. Our 12 volt coolers and freezers allow truckers to safely transport fresh foods like produce, dairy, and meat. The vehicle specific mounting kits we design ensure our fridges stay secure in the cab while driving.
Our 12 volt coolers come in sizes from 16 quarts up to 47 quarts to accommodate different storage needs. The cold plates chill evenly while the thick foam insulation retains cold air even on the hottest days. Some models even have dual zones and adjustable lids to fine tune the climate as needed.
For transporting frozen goods, our 12 volt freezers are some of the most powerful on the market. The small benchtop models can handle up to 27 quarts while the large uprights store up to 94 quarts. The durable compressors maintain temperatures down to 0°F for safe frozen food storage on week-long hauls.
Powering Creature Comforts Off the Grid
Many of the conveniences of home require AC power, which isn’t always available at roadside rest stops. That’s why we manufacture a range of power inverters designed specifically to run sensitive electronics and small appliances off a truck’s 12 volt DC power system.
Our power inverters come in wattages ranging from 150 watts up to 4000 watts. The higher capacity models allow truckers to run larger devices like microwaves and televisions to make their downtime more enjoyable. We build our inverters using clean sine wave technology for safe low distortion power that won’t damage sensitive electronics.
To run high demand AC appliances on the road, our power inverters when combined with simple 100ah batteries offer a cost-effective, eco-friendly alternative to noisy gas generators. Truckers can enjoy the amenities that make their cab feel more like home, while safely parked off-grid.
Staying Clean and Well-Groomed on the Road
After days or weeks on the road, truckers don’t always have ready access showers and laundry facilities at rest stops. That’s why we designed portable sanitation products to help truckers stay fresh and clean wherever they find themselves.
Our tiny handheld showers connect directly to a truck’s water system and generate pressurized water flow for a surprisingly decent roadside rinse. For a truly hot shower, our battery powered shower heads heat water and regulate temperature. With a solar shower bag they create a real spa experience anywhere.
To handle laundry, our 12 volt washers clean clothes using only power from the truck’s batteries. The dual spin cycles wring out clothes for quicker drying, which is great in humid climates. For faster results, our 12v dryers make any truck cab feel like home.
Delivering the Comforts of Home for Over 50 Years

Since Al Hansen started RoadPro® back in 1968, our mission has remained the same – deliver products that help make life on the road more comfortable for generations of truckers and RV travelers. In the past 50+ years, we’ve continued expanding our catalog based on the needs of our loyal customers.
While our original focus was on heating and cooking products, today our offerings span trucker comforts of all kinds. We’ll keep striving to deliver the products truckers need to stay productive, safe, and comfortable while criss-crossing the country.
We know firsthand the importance of small comforts in making extended time away from home more bearable and enjoyable. We look forward to inventing new products and improving our existing lines to further deliver the comforts of home to generations of truckers and road warriors.
